CEO + Chairman of the Board
Rob Anson has served as the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Loop Insights Inc. since January 2018. Mr. Anson has also served as President and a member of the board of directors of Fobisuite Technologies Inc., a private British Columbia technology company, since October 2017, and a member of the board of directors of Fobi Pay Technologies Inc., a private British Columbia technology company, since January 2018.
Mr. Anson has also previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of One Team Media Inc., a private British Columbia entertainment company, between January 2016 and December 2018, as Chief Operating Officer of Parker Neely Enterprises LLC, a private company operating under the laws of the state of Georgia, United States, between December 2011 and January 2016, and as the Manager of Human Resources for Air Canada (TSX: AC) between March 1996 and December 2011.
Gavin Lee has 20+ years of global consumer product experience, with particular expertise in operational excellence, brand management, consumer insights and building top performing sales teams. Mr. Lee has owned retail stores, founded and managed operations of a highly successful sales and marketing agency and led teams through major organizational change in competitive environments.
Mr. Lee has a strong business acumen with a background in creating a positive culture and improving sales force effectiveness while significantly improving top line revenue and maintaining profitable growth through solid P&L management. Gavin’s experience ranges from small entrepreneurial brands to multi-million-dollar global category leaders in a wide variety of market segments.
Prior to his role at Loop Insights as CIO, Vern was the Director, IoT Delivery & Support at TELUS. In this role he led the Operations, Implementation and Strategy for wireless IoT connectivity. Before TELUS, he was the Director, Global IS Infrastructure at Teck Resources Limited, a world leader in the production of copper, steelmaking coal, zinc and specialty metals.
Mr. Kasdorf also spent over nine years providing enterprise consulting services or running the IS Infrastructures for some of the largest enterprises in British Columbia including Scott Paper, TerasenGas, Intrawest, Ainsworth Lumber, Finning, TELUS, ISM-BC, Versacold and West Coast Energy.
His wide range of experience includes extensive project management, writing several pieces of commercially-sold software, and running a web application development shop.
Douglas Bolen, BA, LLB
Douglas Bolen has served as corporate counsel to Loop Insights Inc. since March 2018. Mr. Bolen is a member of the Law Society of BC (2011) and the Law Society of Saskatchewan (1996) Mr. Bolen earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina (1991) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan (1995). Mr. Bolen’s extensive entrepreneurial, corporate, commercial, securities and regulatory experience was primarily derived from the employment history set out below.
Mr. Bolen practiced law at Balfour Moss LLP (now Miller Thomson LLP) from 1995 to 1999. Subsequently, he was provided consulting services to medium sized companies in respect of business organization, financings, going public, mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Bolen served as CEO and Chair of Delta Oil & Gas (OTC:BB) from 2004-2017, was corporate counsel for BC-based Playtime Gaming (2007-2015) and Gateway Casinos (2016-2017), both BCLC licensed service providers of gaming & entertainment services.
Casey Matson Dekay
Casey Matson-DeKay has served as the Chief Technology Officer of Loop Insights Inc. since February 2018. Mr. Matson-DeKay is currently completing a Bachelor of Computer Science degree at the University of Victoria with an expected date of graduation of June 2019.
Previously, Mr. Matson-DeKay served as the Chief Technology Officer of Fobisuite Technologies Inc. between January 2017 and January 2018.
Mr. Matson-DeKay has also been employed as a programmer and information technology consultant with Synq Access + Security Technology during 2016 and CGI Group during 2015.
Abbey Abdiye has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Loop Insights, Inc. since January 2019. Mr. Abdiye has been a Chartered Professional Accountant (CMA) since November 2006 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University in April 1996.
Mr. Abdiye has also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ceylon Graphite Corp. (TSX-V: CYL) since January 2017, Chief Financial Officer of Tower One Wireless Corp. (CNSX: TO) since April 2016, Chief Financial Officer of Crop Infrastructure Corp. (CNSX: CROP) since May 2016, and Chief Financial Officer of Biome Grow Inc. (CNSX: BIO) since May 2017. Mr. Abdiye also previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Biomark Diagnostics Inc. (CNSX: BUX) between November 2014 and June 2017.
Director Strategic Partnerships
Mr. Uppal is a well-rounded professional with over 12 years of progressive experience in retail and CPG environments. His previous experience includes working across a diverse background of industries including beverage alcohol, real estate and digital/print marketing.
Over the past 8 years Peter has worked in various roles with the largest alcohol beverage company in world. His expertise is in sales management, sales intelligence, category management, recruitment/talent management, trade marketing, customer management and leadership development.
His experience in category management and sales intelligence will help Loop’s suppliers and retailers use big data in a simplistic form, driving development and implementation of category/marketing plans, research of market conditions, business insights and overall industry knowledge to formulate campaigns and category initiatives in support of strategies.
